I think this ad was a catastrophe. The point of this ad was to encourage women to buy Nike's new toning shoes. In my opinion, the problem is that most women don't have asses like this woman and I think this ad could be taken the wrong way. Instead of seeing this ad and thinking, man, if i wear those shoes, I could get an ass like this, I think women would look at this and say, "Oh, damn. I won't ever look that good," and ignore it all together. Not to mention the fact that i feel like some of the wording in the copy is ridiculous. "AmbASSador"...Nike put the emphasis on ASS in this ad.

Maybe-Michael Jordan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woOu_4l3lio

I really like this ad because instead of putting Michael Jordan on a pedestal, he and his Jordan Brand decided to make people realize that he is human and had to work for everything he accomplished. I feel like this is effective because people will latch on to the hard work ideal, and push forward in their ambitions, while at the same time, buying into his brand as a way to get there. He makes it seem as though he worked for the best in his career and still strives for the best with the shoes that are put out by his Jordan Brand. This way, he still creates the desire to have his shoes because they will help lead to your goals and aspirations.
